The side content is too repetitive, but The Division's main content and exciting multiplayer component stand out and make this thing worth seeing, provided you've got some like-minded friends around.
Superhot is an intense and thrilling blend of action and puzzle with a solid bit of narrative to tie its murderous mysteries together into something worth seeing.
Far Cry: Primal feels like one long, optional side mission.
Fallout 4 may feel overly familiar to some, but there are plenty of places to go, people to see, and mutants to shoot, and most of those things are still exciting to visit, look at, and murder (though not necessarily in that order).
The occasionally extreme performance issues found in the console versions of Fallout 4 make those versions more difficult to recommend than their PC counterpart.
You'd think a game with this many modes and features would be more exciting than it is.
The quality feel of the driving and nice-looking environment are buried under heaps of technical issues and bland objectives.
You'll spot some rough edges and notice some omissions, but Halo 5 looks great, plays well, and has enough options to keep you coming back.
Rock Band 4 feels more like a maintenance release than a proper relaunch of this once-popular franchise.
Don't play this game.
The campaign has aged pretty poorly and the graphical updates to the campaign side of Gears of War feel half-baked, so unless you're really excited for the competitive part of Gears of War, there's nothing for you here.
Mortal Kombat X moves forward with a snappier version of the previous game's fighting and some cool new characters, but the story and other features around the edges feel a bit rough in spots.
Battlefield Hardline did not crash during our tests and appears to function precisely as expected at this time.
Dimensions recaptures enough of Geometry Wars' thrills to stand as the best new dual-joystick shooter in quite a while.
Far Cry 4's open-world provides ludicrous moments and enough chaotic fun to make it worth your while.
Advanced Warfare's increased focus on player mobility makes a huge impact that freshens up the action and, in some ways, makes every other game in the franchise feel obsolete by comparison.
Forza Horizon 2 is a solid open-world racing game that takes Forza's slavish devotion to car culture in a friendlier direction.
This perfectly competent open-world game gets a heck of a lot more interesting when it throws an endless host of savage, dynamic AI enemies into the mix.
Diablo III is a great game that, despite its mouse-and-keyboard roots, adapts to consoles surprisingly well.
Second Son is a focused open-world game that offers terrific graphics and enjoyable abilities, but it would definitely benefit from a little more variety.
