Far Cry 6 is a very fun game in which you, playing as a voiced protagonist with an honest-to-goodness personality, tear up a gorgeous island.

I wouldn't call Kena: Bridge of Spirits overly ambitious. More like "strategically ambitious." It's easy to overlook the flaws and have fun.

Little Nightmares II has this entertaining intensity to it that’s as fun to watch as it is to play.

The buzz surrounding Hades is spot-on, and it only took one failed escape from hell for me to fall in love with its isometric hack-and-slash combat. It’s blisteringly fast but readable even when your screen is full of fiends. It’s easy to pick up but full of tough decisions. There are six weapons, all of which feel worthwhile, and countless god-given boons with which to improve and drastically alter them.

In the distant future, you’re seemingly the sole survivor of a disastrous crash landing on a vibrant ocean planet. Stranded with little more than a lifepod and a rather magical fabricator that can turn resources plucked from the ecosystem into sophisticated equipment, it’s up to you to figure out what happened to your ship, the crew, and how to get back to a home that’s far, far away.
