Greedfall borrows core mechanics and features from some of gamings legendary RPGs and blends them across the backdrop of fantasy colonialism to craft an experience unlike any other so far, but is that a good thing?
Control

Control is Remedy's most ambitious title yet, promising incredible technical quality and visual design alongside the visionary narrative style the studio is known for. What's more, Control is the best work they've ever done.
A Plague Tale: Innocence blends real historical horrors of war and disease with a gripping narrative, intense survival, and serious resource management in a haunting fable sure to tug at your heart.
Days Gone

With very little fanfare, Bend Studio has delivered a fun open world and mostly compelling story with Days Gone, even if the subject matter has been done to death.
I can’t get enough of Sekiro despite being terrible at playing it. It’s a great evolution of the Soulsborne experience with impressive new traversal and combat mechanics in a beautiful world loaded with odd characters and challenging enemies.
Devil May Cry 5 continues the path of Nero as he sets out with the iconic cast of the DMC franchise to save the world from global invasion by the demon Urizen.
Gasping for breath, your watch reminds you that you’ve got 3 minutes left on your last mask filter. You’re trapped deep underground, your battery is dwindling, and there are 6 rounds left in your rifle. Hope wanes. The walls close in around you, and somehow, illogically, you’re grinning ear to ear.
Capcom brings back Resident Evil 2 in a stunning remake that not only does the original game justice but also stands on its own feet as an outstanding title.
Gris

I loved looking at GRIS. I loved playing GRIS. I loved watching GRIS in motion. Is this the next industry breaking game? No, it’s a standard puzzle platformer at its core. It is however an emotional and beautiful journey, an adventure where every event is up to the player’s own interpretation.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is a masterpiece that transcends the current generation and elevates gameplay and storytelling to a level of which is unprecedented.
The brutally difficult Dark Souls: Remastered makes its way to the Switch and attempts to make use of Nintendo's unique controllers while simultaneously ignoring their most basic differences.
Celeste

Celeste isn’t just a damn good indie 2D platformer, it’s also one of the best, challenging, and rewarding games of 2018.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, for better or worse, feels like a palette swap of Origins. If you loved Origins and want more of that you’ll gobble Odyssey right up, but Ubisoft need to be diligent about making changes to these games if they’re going to continue pumping them out year after year.
Here's our review for Shadow of the Tomb Raider, taking the good with the bad and offering a crypt full of treasure and decay that make this game one of Lara Croft's most unique.
Dead Cells

It's finally out of early access, so if tight, challenging combat, and infinite replayability in a charmingly depressing setting is your cup of tea, Dead Cells is the game for you.
I gather my forces to take on Square Enix's newest retro RPG, Octopath Traveler. For a trip down memory lane, this one's got some shiny new tricks up its sleeve.
Detroit: Become Human offers a gripping story that looks and feels amazing however there are some definite cracks in the presentation.
Kratos may be getting older, but he can still kick some serious ass. Rest assured, this is not only a true God of War game, but it is the best God of War game so far.
Far Cry 5

Far Cry 5 brings the franchise to America to battle an insane cultist. The gameplay is familiar and fun, but it's the setting and characters that really make FC5 and brave and worthwhile adventure.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance will pull you in to its story and immerse in the Middle Ages all while evoking that similarly grand feeling of truly epic RPGs of days gone by.
